It is bordered by the African nations of Mauritius and Comoros, both of which are located to the southwest. It has a vibrant economy based on tourism, finance, and textiles. Comoros is an independent nation with a population of 800 thousand people, located just south of Madagascar. People in Seychelles
Almost 100,000 people live in the Seychelles, most of them in the capital Victoria. They are known as Seychellois. A large part of the islands and especially the coral islands are not populated.
