Sierra Nevada is the southernmost ski resort in Europe, located 37 kilometers from Granada. In clear weather, its peaks offer a view of the Mediterranean Sea, beyond which the outlines of Africa are visible. There is a bright sun, dry snow and trails of different difficulty levels. The center of the Sierra Nevada is the town of Pradollano. It consists mainly of hotels, apartments, sports equipment rentals, ski schools and numerous restaurants, bars, cafes and discos.

Sierra Nevada trails
Most of all, the tracks in the Sierra Nevada are suitable for professionals – they are mostly “red” and “black”. The total number of slopes is small, and since the resort is small, it is best suited for those who go not only to ride, but also to go on excursions.
In the Sierra Nevada, you can compete on the parallel slalom course at Acropark, designed for both snowboarding and freestyle. Connoisseurs will appreciate the snowpark with a special snowboarding track and a half-pipe. For night skiing, there are two slopes on the El Rio slope, one of them is 3 km long, and the elevation difference is 545 m, there is also night skiing on the slalom track with a height difference of 1100 meters.
For beginner skiers (both children and adults) there are Russian-speaking instructors who work at the International Ski School.
The resort of Pradogliano has a ski kindergarten, and for the smallest – a nursery, where children are supervised by staff with medical training.
Sierra Nevada Hotels
The level of service in ski resorts is generally slightly higher than in coastal hotels (and, by the way, in the Sierra Nevada there is no usual siesta for Spain). All entertainment – only in hotels.
Entertainment and attractions of the Sierra Nevada
Sierra Nevada has a very convenient location for excursion lovers. Literally 40 km away is the magnificent Granada, and a little further – Seville (250 km), Malaga (130 km) and Cordoba (166 km), where you can go on day trips.
In the center of Pradogliano is the Trevenque Sports Club (swimming pool, gym, sauna, jacuzzi, Turkish bath, massage, solarium, aerobics room). In addition, the resort has numerous shops, bars, restaurants and discos. In the mountains you can go not only skiing, but also dog sledding (sledding rental is located near the base station), sledding, inflatable balloons, renting a snowmobile or flying on a hang glider.
