A Concept Watch That Needs To Be Blown Out To Work

More and more are emerging concepts of eco-friendly products, some work with solar energy and others with the power of the wind, and this is the case of the Eole. While you are walking down the street you can find people blowing wildly the your wrist. Before you think you people are crazy, see if they’re not wearing a watch that needs to be blown.

The concept of the clock Eole is designed by Julien Moïse and is quite simple. The part in red the clock looks like a kind of turbine, but in fact is nothing more than a generator of wind energy.

The energy required for a watch remember the time is very short, and turns off the display to Eole save that energy, causing the clock always remember what time it is.

When he is blown, the display turns on, but then it is off to avoid a lot of wasted energy. The Eole has a battery that is charged every time the fan spins, it means that whenever you want to see what time it is, it’s going to take a blow on the clock. However, after the display will be switched off, the rest of the battery is used so that it continues to function and selecting the right time.

Although it doesn’t seem to be very practical, many people will certainly want to use it because it is elegant. But certainly there are many negative points, one of them is if you are somewhere with cold weather, certainly won’t be anything nice blow on your wrist. Not to mention the possibility that the fan has to store dust, something not so good for those suffering from diseases respiratorias.

Watch a video that demonstrates the Eole .
